FEITIAN Obtains FIDO2 CTAP2.1 Certificates

Beijing, China and Santa Clara, CA — July 21, 2022 — We are pleased to announce that 2 models of FEITIAN FIDO authenticators, the ePass FIDO2 and ePass FIDO2-NFC, are now FIDO2 CTAP2.1 certified.

CTAP2.1 introduces some new features, including enterprise attestation (EA), authenticator credential management and Bio enrollment, set minimum PIN length and force change PIN, always require user verification and etc. All the enhancements not only make it convenient but also enhance the security. EA enables binding of an authenticator to an account using a persistent identifier, which makes enterprises able to tie a registration to a specific authenticator, allowing management functions such as tracking key distribution and usage.
