StoreROCKEY4 SMART hardware is derived from ROCKEY4 SMART, the latest smart card based software protection dongle, attached with Flash memory of the capacity from 2GB to 8GB. Software vendors can encrypt the application, store the program to Flash memory and then deliver it to end users. Its high-speed Flash memory allows application being executed onboard.
StoreROCKEY4 SMART is a new model in Feitian ROCKEY4 series software protection dongle family. Its hardware is derived from ROCKEY4 SMART, the latest smart card based software protection dongle, attached with Flash memory of the capacity from 2GB to 8GB. StoreROCKEY4 SMART can be used to store the software as well as protect it at the same time. It will become a new method to deliver the software. Software no longer needs to be stored on a CD disc and be delivered with a separate software protection dongle. One StoreROCKEY4 SMART can achieve the goal that carry and protect the software with a single device. Customer can install and run the software anywhere with protection all the time. When unplug the key, the software cannot be executed. Especially, StoreROCKEY4 SMART can be used as a hardware base for zero-footprint applications. The application can be stored in the Flash memory and executed onboard.
StoreROCKEY4 SMART is a non-driver device. It can be used directly in Windows, Linux and MAC systems without installing device driver. The software protection key part of it is the same as ROCKEY4 SMART, high-performance smart card based software protection dongle. The smart card chip has EAL 4+ and IT SEC certification. The chip has the capability of resisting electron detection attack (SPA and DPA) and physical attack (SiShell). The chip is well protected since the initial designing period. By generating noisy and interfering signal technique, adding filter circuit to reduce noise signal and applying special protecting material, the auditing chip runtime instructions are impossible. The hardware provides onboard RNG, DES, RSA and MD5 algorithms. The communication to host computer is protected by RNG and 3DES algorithm. The RSA algorithm is used to build secure remote update solution etc. These designs significantly improved the software protection strength and make the software maintenance work much easier.
The Flash memory of StoreROCKEY4 SMART provides two types of storage media – The virtual CDROM drive and normal Flash drive. The application can be automatically executed from CDROM drive with Auto-run feature. As the CDROM partition is read-only, it can effectively protect the software against malicious manipulation and virus attack. The speed of high-performance Flash memory chip is more than 15MB/s. This allows the software being executed onboard smoothly. StoreROCKEY4 SMART allow user to carry and protect the software at the same time, providing strong anti-virus, anti-manipulation features. It will become an ideal platform for software delivery and protection.
